Hi, I'm Haruna Takeda.

Haruna Takeda is a curator and writer based between Tokyo and London. Her research explores self-organised resistance and the affective possibilities of artistic practices, with a particular focus on moving-image works. She was a member of the collective research group Advanced Practices' Laboratory and had participated in the conference Absent Audience. Her recent curatorial projects include exhibitions with Daisuke Kosugi and Aki Inomata at the Daiwa Foundation, as well as contributions to Art Fair Asia Fukuoka. She regularly writes exhibition texts for both Japanese and international artists (here, here and here), alongside reviews and critical essays.

Haruna holds two post-graduate Master's degrees with distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London: an MA in Contemporary Art Theory (2020) and an MRes in Advanced Practices (2023).
